Place Value Math Stations

Greetings,

We have been working very hard learning how to read, represent and locate our numbers from 0 - 100.  This past week we had a lot of fun working collaboratively during our place value math stations using stamps, cards, coins, base ten manipulatives and our 100 chart.  We had some teachers from other schools visit our classroom and they were most impressed with our skills.

This is a website where students will be able to show off their skills to you and teach you some of the strategies we use to quickly locate numbers on the 100 chart.

We also have a fun game where the 100 chart numbers are missing.  You will be most impressed with our skills in this game:}

Remembrance Day

Greetings,

On Remembrance Day 1F students participated in our school assembly.  The students did a fantastic job singing their song that they have been practising in music class with Mrs. Dalley.  They were extremely well behaved during the long assembly and proudly displayed their poppies.  Special thanks to Landen and Payton for carrying our class wreath.  We made a special taping of the song for families who were not able to join us for the assembly.

Literacy Hour

Greetings,

A special thanks to Mrs. Dresser for coming out and reading to the primary students during our first Literacy Session. The students got to circulate to four stations and really enjoyed all of the parents' book choices.

Thanks again to all of the GNPS parents who helped out.
